The Vixen and the Vet by Katy Regnery

The Vixen & the VetThe Vixen & the Vet by Katy Regnery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Journalist Savannah Carmichael is forced to return home to Danvers, VA, in humiliation after a lover's betrayal results in the loss of her job in New York. When she's offered a chance to revive her career, she decides to interview the somewhat abrasive Asher Lee, the town's resident veteran. Almost a decade ago, Asher was maimed and left severely disfigured by a bomb blast while on a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Since then, the rejection he's suffered because of his appearance has been almost been as devastating as his injuries. When Savannah comes knocking on his door, the two begin a friendship that quickly grows into a soul-deep connection neither of them ever dared to believe was possible. For the first time in years, Asher has hope but when circumstances threaten to come between them, will their love be enough to ensure a happy ending?

If Asher and Savannah's story doesn't rekindle your faith in true love and miracles, I don't think anything will. I can only describe it as a modern day fairy tale... the kind that becomes a part of you. Not only will you be moved deeply, you might need a cold shower once you're done reading. I'm telling you the truth when I say that it has to be one of the hottest romances out there! You'll see...

Keep in mind that 50% of everything Katy earns on “The Vixen & the Vet” in June and July 2014 will go directly to Operation Mend, a non-profit organization at the UCLA Medical Center that offers assistance to the returning wounded in the armed forces. You're getting a wonderful story as well as contributing to a good cause... and it's worth every cent.
