1. Do not interfere with someone's death. 2. Do not become emotionally involved. 3. Do not show yourself to the living. As a grim reaper, seventeen-year-old Xia has to follow these Rules. But when she meets Shilah, a Native American boy who can see reapers, she figures the rules don't apply. To find out why he can see her, she pretends to be human, since carrying a scythe probably isn't the latest teen craze. Things become unnerving as she begins experiencing first-time affection with Shilah, but she's irreversibly drawn to him. Suddenly Xia finds herself breaking Rule Two, even while collecting dead souls behind Shilah's back. It isn't long before she is caught red-handed by the Angel of Death himself, and then not only is her relationship at risk, but also Shilah's soul. And this leaves Xia wondering: can love overcome Death?

Grim Crush is a sweet YA romance that is bound to appeal to younger readers this Halloween. I'm sure there are some adults out there who might enjoy it too.

Xia is a remarkably brave girl and free sprit while Native American Shilah is an absolute sweetheart and a perfect match for her. They were a cute couple and seeing how devoted to each other they become will warm your heart.

Of course, their new relationship isn't all smooth sailing. Xia is neither truly alive or dead but Shilah still has the rest of his life to look forward to. Then, there's the fact that Xia is wilfully breaking the three golden rules of Reaping to be with him. She knows it's only a matter of time before they're discovered... and there will be consequences.

When the Angel of Death himself seems to make Shilah his target, how far will she go to save him? Be prepared for thrills, 'awwwww' moments, and an edge of your seat climax!
