Hard to Hold on To (Hard Ink, #2.5) by Laura Kaye

Hard to Hold on To (Hard Ink, #2.5)Hard to Hold on To by Laura Kaye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Edward "Easy" Cantrell knows better than most the pain of not being able to save those he loves--which is why he is not going to let Jenna Dean out of his sight. He may have just met her, but Jenna's the first person to make him feel alive since that devastating day in the desert more than a year ago.

Jenna has never met anyone like Easy. She can't describe how he makes her feel--and not just because he saved her life. No, the stirrings inside her reach far beyond gratitude.

As the pair are thrust together while chaos reigns around them, they both know one thing: the things in life most worth having are the hardest to hold on to.

Did you realize that suicide is the #1 cause of death for military personnel? It's a shocking truth and shows why a story like Easy's was begging to be told.

Easy's been suffering from depression, PTSD, and thoughts of suicide for a year now while Jenna is just beginning her recovery from a brutal abduction. They're two broken people who in the middle of their personal battles are still incredibly open-hearted and kind. Actually, I don't think I've read anything so sweet and oddly uplifting... not in a series like this!

Easy and Jenna were both desperately in need of something positive in their lives and it tugged at my heart-strings to see them find what they needed to heal and keep fighting. Easy's courage should be a great example to anyone in the armed forces or dealing with similar issues so if you know anyone who needs the message, please don't be shy about recommending this book to them. It might just be the turning point that saves their lives.
